Wow, thanks for the link Tony! When I finally had time I replied to your comment on my blog, but in case you haven’t seen it, I mentioned that your own sharing of the learning process was part of what really encouraged me to start for myself in the first place. In sharing your own experiences you’ve made a really valuable resource, and I’ve deeply appreciated learning from you. All the best to you!

    Yosef
Thank you for the complement. I am very pleased to have helped you begin your shiatsu journey. Good luck with your studies and your blog: It is a great read.

Opening up the shiatsu world

Technology

What I really love about this blogging process is coming across other students of shiatsu across the world. I have recently discovered the Ahavat Emet blog of a student in Israel. I was particularly moved by his story related in the post Opening up and letting go.

Learning shiatsu is such a journey of self-discovery and self-realisation. It is not always an easy journey and we traditionally rely on our families and student colleagues for support. What I have found in sharing my experiences on-line is that there is so much more support available in the virtual world.

Shiatsu as a traditional therapy founded on the idea of naturalness seems to be the antithesis to this technological world. But the sharing that is at the heart of shiatsu development is such a natural theme for blogging that they both seem made for each other.
