Thank you to Eric for suggesting this link to research articles: http://www.PubMed.gov. Search for Chinese medicine or shiatsu etc.

Request for information on Chinese medicine studies

Western medicine

A while ago I wrote a post in support of Tracy’s Response to: What is alternative medicine anyway?. I have now received some additional comments to my own post Falsifiability.

I am picked up on a couple of points. Firstly that I am implying a rejection of the Western scientific method and secondly I cannot give examples of studies demonstrating the effectiveness of the Chinese model of medicine. Thank you to PalMD and Bob M for pointing out my inadequate blogging technique and I will try to address these over this week.

To start, I have used the phrase “That Chinese medicine is effective is proven in many studies” rather loosely based on articles I have read but not referenced my sources. I need to do some research to rectify this.

If you know of any such studies that do demonstrate Chinese medicine’s effectiveness I would be pleased to hear from you.
