Learning to fly
The final year of my studies is about moving from the schoolroom and into professional practise. Our first assignment of this new year is to design an advertising leaflet. This is a great task to get going with as it really focuses the mind on the questions I have been writing about recently:
- What is shiatsu?
- What can shiatsu offer potential clients?
- What can I offer potential clients?
- How do I put that across simply and effectively?
I am using every resource available to answer these questions but this blog has become a very precious reserve of knowledge. It not only contains ideas that I have developed but comments from readers and it is these comments that will ultimately help me answer what I think is the most important question: What can I offer potential clients?
That is the selling point for each practise that develops out of this course. All of the students will be able to point to the Shiatsu Society website and say what conditions shiatsu is good for. They all will be able to say what shiatsu is and describe its history. But each of us has our own skills and interests and that is what this assignment is really about.
