Improving web presences
It is only fair to highlight that since my post Who will promote shiatsu? criticising the Shiatsu Society for their website that they have implemented some changes.
It looks a little better and does now render correctly on my Firefox browser so that is a great improvement. However, important information about events like the European Shiatsu Week are still hidden away which is a missed opportunity.
I was thinking again about my own Shiatsu College’s site. With a little professional interest I followed the link to the site’s author. I am not going to link to it but it is not a great advertisement for the designer. Of all the sites listed in this author’s portfolio only the Shiatsu College and the shiatsucentre.net remain active. The other sites have been redesigned to a higher standard by other companies.
I asked recently How do you support shiatsu? For me, I would hope that I could help the College with their site. I am not sure that I should take on the design and support but I have an IT background so it seems obvious that I should involve myself.

Bevan has already posted on this improvement and his correspondence with the society on this matter. Read his account on his Shiatsudo Blog
Do you use shiatsucentre.net? It looks interesting, but it’s almost always broken when I try and look at it :/
I have used shiatsucentre.net. I posted a question several months ago and got a couple of pretty good answers.
I think it has been broken recently but they are working to fix it up and improve it. I hope they do it is a good resource when it is running.
