The Shakes

Personal Development, Shiatsu Practice

As I develop my Shiatsu touch I am becoming more aware of the shaking that I pick up from receivers. It is a very physical manifestation of the Ki in my client.
Sometimes this can be a very subtle feeling in my thumbs or fingers but sometimes this feeling builds and travels up through my arm. I have on one occasion felt this shaking coming through my legs as I knelt next to my receiver lying in side position.

Again, relaxation is the key to feeling this and not getting to caught up in the movement. One time I had the shakes and experimented with it by changing hands. Too much thought and the moment was gone.

This is becoming one of the main Shiatsu tools I use to locate Ki energy. Often I find that a position of maximum shaking corresponds to a physical symptom in my receiver. It is great to simply touch gently and then get the confirmation that one has located some discomfort without any other guidance.
