Shiatsu review 2006
I have been blogging my Shiatsu life a few months now and since we are approaching the end of the year I think that it is a good time to revisit some old posts and review my progress against them.
The first post was called Work and quality of Shiatsu and I talked about the difficulties of fitting a 9 to 5 job with Shiatsu treatments. I felt that often that left me giving physical massages rather than true Shiatsu and working with Ki.
My relaxation and preparation over the past few months have improved and my Shiatsu clearly connects with Ki at a certain level but I recently posted that I still have problems Feeling what others do. What I need to do over the next year is to make that connection more consistent.
Hara diagnosis was introduced to us at the beginning of the new Shiatsu College year and that has been interesting and a bit of a struggle; sometimes I find something and sometimes strange things have happened. I have learned to be more relaxed about diagnosis and that it is possible to give a satisfactory treatment even when you fail to pick up anything on the Hara.
We were warned that the second year of Shiatsu College is an up and down affair. I feel that my Shiatsu is improving and I am becoming more confident in giving Shiatsu. Lots to build on in 2007.
